Well, you don't go to the hospital with a mild case. Both Trump and Christie are in the hospital, while Melania and others are resting at home.

And finally, as for the chain yanking: I re-ask: is there room for only one chain yanker here?
Of course you did and always in the way you've done it for years. Normally, your banter doesn't affect me but this virus is pretty deadly and doesn't discriminate. Yet, clowns will come here and try to defend their right to go bare-faced but how do we really know for sure they are? We don't. It's all speculative but constant dogging them isn't the answer, either and yes ..... it's a big room and all chain-yankers are welcome, as long as others realize that's what they're doing and don't have a conniption fit over their silly comments.

True but I wonder if the fact that one is the President and one is the First Lady makes a difference. It could be his symptoms aren't severe but he's the POTUS. They're treated a lot differently than anyone else. As for Christie, his situation might be considered more serious due to his weight. This guy is way too heavy. That much weight is not even healthy for his heart, lungs, and kidneys without having the virus. He's been a ticking bomb for years.

Heh. And you questioned MY lack of humor ?

I’m not the one having any “conniption fit” here. Not ‘bent out of shape’ in the slightest.

*flush*

There's not much to wonder about. It would be weird if the reaction to the diagnosis was anything less.

It's interesting they've administered that experimental antibody "cocktail" to Trump. It's hard not to notice the optics here.

Also, Trump beating covid has some pretty interesting political ramifications. I'm not the tiinfoil hat type, but this seems almost perfectly timed. Regardless, I would hope that even the most rabid anti-Trumpers would understand that losing the president in a situation like this would be a huge blow to the nation as a whole.

Oh? How so? Genuine question ... not a set up.

Broadly, the credibility of the U.S. would suffer if we couldn't even manage to save our leader from succumbing to the pandemic. I think that would be poor form. It would also be demoralizing to the nation to have another president die in office, in spite of the fact that Trump is an abrasive person. I predict the fallout would certainly widen the political divide too. Just a gut feeling here. Nothing else.

So you’re speculating and your post really isn’t true. They’re always going to take a President to Walter Reed. Especially one that’s partial to cheeseburgers.
