On the other hand, if they don't have the mask mandate, employers don't enforce it and an employee gets infected, I believe there could be some significant Legal issues here to contend with.
How can it be fully approved soon if the clinical study completions dont even wrap up until 2023? Even if it gets approved this year thats still the fastest ever. But again it literally cant until the study is completed unless they change the rules.

I never suggested it did or that employers should allow those not vaccinated to go without masks. I figured your "mask mandate" was for everyone similar to what CalOSHA is doing.

Well, Pfizer is currently seeking full FDA approval for age 16+. The exact date isn't yet known, but this should be well before 2023, as you infer: https://www.webmd.com/vaccines/covid...-covid-vaccine

No, but you're complaining about CalOSHA requiring masks in all workplaces whereby the employer can't prove all employees are vaccinated. It seems that CalOSHA is following the CDC in that regard by clearing up the loopholes.

The CDC doesn't say vaccinated employees need to wear masks. Even if they determine everyone's vaccination status vaccinated employees still have to wear masks if someone else is not. That's going beyond the CDC.

You're looking at it the wrong way. The CDC has only come out with advising that it's safe to congregate indoors for those vaccinated. They don't have to publicly state it's safe for those unvaccinated. If that was their viewpoint, they would've explicitly stated this.

I never suggested it was so I don't know why you're even bringing that up. Forcing vaccinated employees to keep masks on because of one or more unvaccinated is going beyond what the CDC is recommending plain and simple.

How else can you separate these employees? Either employers are going to have to 1 - mandate vaccines, 2 - be able to accurately track and separate the two groups or 3 - require all employees to wear masks because they cannot do #1 or #2 effectively.

Ask the employee their status, why is that so hard? You would need to do the same thing if you mandated vaccines.
