If a couple have Liberty Mutual car insurance under their name, father and mother, and their son which happens to be 25 (not under the car insurance) gets in a car accident, will the car insurance pay for the damages done to the other car?
That depends on your policy as well as if he was driving your car.
Some policy's cover all those living under your home. Some only cover those on the policy itself. Additionally, some will cover accidents if your car was involved regardless who was driving.
Last issue: it depends on your state insurance laws.
Sorry I can't give you a definite answer, but there are so many variables with insurance because each state is different, each company different and likewise, each policy differs.

The insurance company will assume that the son borrow the car with permission from the parent so the coverage is still there but who pay what will depend where the son has his own insurance and who is at fault in the accident.
