He lays on top of me sometimes....his face inches from my mouth, and he purrs.
other times (my favorite), they both come and curl up next to my body as they curl up together simultaneously

My old girl leaps and lands solidly on my stomach or chest because I sleep on my back and she knows just what to do. When an 8 pound cat lands on you it most surely will wake you up. She will then go through her marching routine, walking back and forth across me. Often she will pause and purr in my face while sitting on my chest. Very seldom do I get up before she does, no need to ever set an alarm clock with this kitty around. Should mention that what time it is means nothing to her, she prefers a very early breakfast, and 4:00 AM is not unusual for her wakeup call. The fact that she has dry food available is not good enough, she insists that I get up and open a fresh can of wet canned food for her early morning dining pleasure.

Every morning, one will meow at full volume (he's deaf so maybe he doesn't realize how loud he is). If that doesn't work, he'll start knocking things off my bedside table (water bottle, books, phone).

The other one will very rarely try to wake me up, but when he does, he'll bite my head/hair.

Until recently, unfortunately I woke up to the sound of Oscar puking in the bed. he's better now.

Now I think Oscar and Langley decide to make a Mommy Sandwich with one on either side of me snuggling up for kisses.

A cat with a healthy mouth doesn't have bad breath. It's time you took him in and have your vet examine his mouth and teeth.

Tempi has perfected her method, she places a paw on either side of my neck directy on the collr bones shes fully clawed) and starts knneding away...if that wasnt enough she will procede to lick my nose (with the occasional over enthusiastic chew) and DROOL on me...yup she gets sooo into it she actully drools...(she does this when hving serious luvin time too,,,shes a drooler, vet cant find any reason for it so i just figure its like homer when he thinks of doughnuts.

Willow is a little more subtle...her method is to stick her nose into my ear as deeply as possible and purrrr as LOUDLY as possible and occasionally stick her tounge in your ear...

One time, many years ago, I was asleep in bed, and my then young cat came up to me and reached his paw out and lightly touched his paw on my eyelid, as if to say "open your eyes!!!" I thought it was such a smart thing to do.... but he's never done it since.

my cats do that to me all the time, especially if they see me open then shut my eyes. cats can be very demanding and I am always submissive...I'm a fool in love.
