My little Baby Kitty has been fine all day and he went to sleep about 10a.m. and when he got up around 4p.m. I noticed he was limping.
His front left paw and leg is twicw the size as other and we looked at it and did not see anything.
Could it be a bite or what?
If swelling is still there in morning I will be taking him to vet.
I know this is a longshot, but do you happen to have a pair of hair clippers handy?
Cat fur tends to hide wounds. I am sure that you thoroughly looked him over but it is very easy to miss a wound, especially if it is a puncture wound, which I suspect it is. If you shave around the area, I am 95% sure that you will find something (if you take him to the vet, they will have to shave him anyway.) Keeping the wound clean (shaving is essential as it allows hygienic access, drainage, etc. of the wound), applying antibiotic ointment and putting him on oral antibiotics will help him (i.e. you need to take him to the vet.) In fact, he is probably already running a low-grade fever.
Good luck, and don't stress--he will be alright. But I would take him to the vet (or do the aformentioned--shave his leg, etc.).
By the way, what a GREAT kitty name!!
I would lean towards an abscess in the paw, or in the cat's arm/leg...the treatment is to lance and clean out the abscess, and allow it to drain, antibiotic therapy, and keep the area clean. Most cats make a complete recovery in as little as a week to ten days.
Thanks for replies. The next day swelling was gone and Baby Kitty shows no signs of discomfort and is back to playing at full tilt. So I think he might have twisted his foot and caused swelling and it worked itself out. So at least he is back to normal. Wish I could heal like that.

Good advise, they always do shave the hair off, my dog had crust crap
shave, and do the collar, and some pills. She did heal, and all was well. The vet really had no idea what this crust was, but it did need air
and the collar so the dog did not lick it. and some itch meds!
