I don't think this is something to spend a lot of time worrying about. More like one of those weird things that happens sometimes.

Yeah, I'm not worried, just seems odd that a cat could get sick from a human...if that is what happened.

I totally agree. Ferret and bird owners are used to being careful when they get the flu, but it's not something those of us with dogs and cats usually have to worry about.
