I found out that Google is coming out with a new smartphone the end of the year, a Nexus 5X& 6P according to what I have Googled. My cell phone provider doesn't know when they are coming out or if they are coming out. I really like this Google phone as I call it, which is a Nexus 6. What do you think about this new phone or if you have a Nexus already, what do you think about it~?

I have a 64 GB Nexus 6P on order that I'll be setting up on Google's Project Fi wireless service. I have had a Nexus 7 tablet for a few years and I appreciate getting Android version updates promptly. I'm getting a Nexus phone because I want a phone that gets updated that promptly.

What is "Google's Project Fi"~? I've never heard of it~? Is it like WiFi~? And where can you purchase a Nexus Tablet at~? Is it like the Chromebook~? I've been looking at it, but I really don't think it will work for me.

Fi is Googles own attempt at being a "Cellular" carrier.
Cheaper then ATT and VZW.

In quotes because they use a combo of Tmobile/Sprint network and WiFi calling, not their own network.

Only works on the Nexus 6 or better.

I have a Nexus 6 and I use T-Mobile. T-Mobile operates with a Sim Card where Sprint and Verizon doesn't. So I am connected to a WiFi now when I checked, but is it the same as "Google's Project Fi"~?

End of the year? The 5x is shipping already, the 6p by the end of this month from what I've heard.

I have a Nexus 4, just retired my Nexus 7 tablet for something larger. Both quality devices.

With Fi, he phone only needs one SIM card to use both carriers' networks. For the price of the service, it's revolutionary.

No.
You are paying T-Mobile. On Fi, you will be paying Google. You will be technically using Google as your carrier.
Your phone will make calls over WiFi whenever it is available. When it is NOT available, your phone will choose between Sprint or Tmobile depending on which has a stronger signal where you are.
Pricing:
$20/mo + data charges. Data is $10 per GB.
So for 3GB you would pay $50.

I have the Nexus 5x in the Ice color and it's Grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

One of my favorite phones ever and this is coming from a guy that owns about 8 different phones per year, give or take a few.
