King's Italian bistro in the Food Lion shopping center on Ladson road has really good wings. Not many flavors to choose from but they are great.
Their calzones and cannoli are my favorites too.

I miss that place, and The Rock in Lynnwood, and......sigh...We have wonderful restaurants here in Charleston, but I haven't found a lot of FUN restaurants yet.
Yep, that's the one. BTW if you want fun, there's always anything Avondale. The area reminds me of some of our old hangouts in Ballard, only with a much MUCH smaller neighborhood.

I don't even know where Avondale is, but I will definitely look it up. That laid back Ballard feel is exactly what I am looking for on date night with my husband, only with nice South Carolina weather!

It's funny you mention Ballard. The husband and I were just talking about it last night. We are fairly conservative in most aspects of our lives, but our two favorite places to hang out and pretend that we are a young childless couple are Ballard, WA and Boulder, CO. We must have some floundering hippy genes somewhere deep inside us!

Avondale is the area in Near West Ashley (vs. outer, outside of hwy 526) around Hwy 17 / Avondale Ave. What the area is missing, and Charelston as a whole is a coffee place nearby that stays open late. It's smaller than Ballard, but would fit in the area.

The Blind Referee in the Publix shopping center on Central Ave. & Orangeburg Rd. has good wings and they are reasonably priced.

You are talking about the Hawaiian Grill. No, I have not been there, but I have been told the food is decent.
