No, I'm actually saying that I see kindness out in public all the time and it doesn't take tragedy for people to be kind or go out of the way for others.

Thinking what has happened to those children just crushes my heart. I really hope their families can stay strong, I know I couldnt. I find myself crying a bit everytime, while hugging my children.

That was a very nice thing for someone to do.

Sure, we see kindness in many ways each day but tragedy brings rally & determination. Which is ok, but our nation is a knee-jerk, respond to emotion nation and we should be more caring without tragedy. The people in this country are to wrapped up in themselves.

That's pretty wonderful. My family was out eating at china town which ya'll recommended when a couple paid for our meal. I am so moved by this town and its humbleness. I never knew giving to others could move a mountain!

One of our neighbours made ornaments and went door to door in our neighbourhood asking us to put one our tree in memory of the victims of Newton. Very thoughtful.

Our church has preached performing random acts of kindness for years. A tragedy was never required.

How many of you adopted an Angel this year?

I do believe "Random Acts of Kindness" is more of a trendy buzz phrase, not a new gesture. People, generally speaking, are quite generous and giving without being told they have to be or in a time of tragedy.

We didn't do an Angel this year. One year I helped with a collection for a teen group home. The teens asked for very practical items....brushes, journals, stationary, etc. Teens tend to get forgotten so this is another option if someone is looking to "adopt" a group to give to.

It's been a part of our Sunday School class for over 8 years. It was brought forth based on a book of the same name published in 2002.

It's rough when you see a Christmas list full of everyday items. I hope somewhere our Angel was happy. We thought and spoke of her over family dinner.

Yes I have often adopted an angel and performed random acts of kindness, not through my Church -- but just because it is the right thing to do.
