Accent on Wine www.accentwine.com in Summerville Center is a great place for not only great wine but the knowledge that you gain from Stephane Peltier. Stephane was the Sommelier at the Woodlands, and he does wine pairings with tastings once a month. These events are booked full and you can meet many of the top local chefs there.
Total Wine is huge, and World Market isn't too far away from there, between those two you should be able to find what you need .
And maybe it's just being a recent transplant, but all grocery stores here have huge beer and wine selections... you'll be surprised at what you can find there sometimes!

Yeah, I was impressed with the wine selection at Piggly Wiggly when visiting this past weekend. I was also imprssed by the Beer Exchange. We have huge outlets for beer in the Rochester area and I swear I hadn't seen 80% of the labels at the Exchange.
Also visited Total Wine tonight and extremely impressed with their liquor selection. I swear I've never seen half that stuff and I've been in liquor/wine stores as big as some of these Publix markets. Thanks for the recommendations, folks.
The Pig at Seaside gets some great wine deals! We were avid Cost Plus, World Market shoppers but have found that we can usually just pop into the grocery store and find what we are looking for. The HUGE box stores for wine/liquor have some deals but never seem to be enough to make us take a special trip there. We are AVID wine drinkers -- not wine snobs....been there done that and realized the fun is finding a good wine for very little.
Keep an eye on Harris Teeter. They regularly run 20% off wine case sales. Pick & choose your bottles. Not a bad deal if you need to stock up every now & then...and it's a great time to slip in that "expensive" bottle you really like but don't want to spend the $$$.
Good tip capefish - I try to stock up but it never works out.
