It is not even NIMY. It is the drawbridge mentality and even worse in my opinion.

we see a fair amount of this mentality here in Charleston. People love it here and want to move here but once they do they want all the growth and development to stop.... sometimes even right after they close on a new home. other people want to move here for the same reasons you did.
