Your too kind I was checking out the website and it looks like good fun although it would probably be a distraction to us considering all work we have to do in September.

It will be only for eight days - I will have to wait until the new year before I will be able to return as I have used all my annual leave this year( We had already booked and paid for our two week vacation before we found out we got our green card). As you can imagine we have lots to do -I have a realtor I have been dealing with so I hope to view some properties to get an idea of whats available and get a feel for the different areas, I need to see banks, schools etc to see whats required. One of those days will be used up visiting Carowinds as we have promised the kids we would take them.

Sounds like a full week!

Just one caution...did you make sure the realtor you have chosen is very knowledgeable and experienced?

You have A LOT of ground to cover, and it is crucial that the realtor you work with has been in Charlotte, and working as a realtor, for at least 10 years. If you use a realtor who's any newer to the city than that you will risk not being served as well as you should. Just FYI.

I know its a lot to cover and so far he's been very helpful -he sent me a list of zip codes which had the best rated schools to help refine my searching on the website- although I still think I will probably go with my own instincts. My poor husband won't know what hit him with the driving this year. We were in France 3 weeks ago and we brought our SUV on the overnight ferry and he drove 800 miles in one day to get to where we staying,So the amount of driving he will be doing in Charlotte should be a piece of cake for him. I can DM you the name of the company I have been dealing with and perhaps you can advise if they are a reputable agency?

The biggest adjustment you will have to make is the sunshine all year and the heat in the summer. Everything you will want or need will be found here.
