Mike, you're couldnt be further from the truth.
There was a temporary sales tax increase, but it subsided.

Repub gov and repub legislature are all for the special interests.
and as such, we lose tax free weekend..
so businesses will be hurt when everyone flocks to SC next year...
that makes great sense!

Thanks for the sticky status for a couple of days. I some of your were able to take advantage of some of the tax free holiday shopping this weekend.

Personally, I picked up a new pair of running shoes and some technical t-shirts to get ready for an upcoming marathon this Fall. I didn't really need any clothes for myself and have no little ones so I was lucky enough to be able to avoid the big box stores and outlet centers. Instead I got to support my local little running shop.
