Just reread the rest of the thread and saw that cuban bread recipe, I have to compare it to the one I have and check it out. Will post results this weekend....

I miss the Latin American by Coral Way and 27 ave where they had the two cuban sanwhich makers in the middle of the counters making them with the sandwhich press in the back of them ....they the building is not their any longer.....i miss that oh yeah an EL Rey de las Fritas

Did ya hafta mention el rey de frita? Now that I miss alot! I used to work at Victoria Hospital (also isn't there anymore) which was right down the street and we were always eating there the fritas and batida de mamey. Oh My, am I hungry for that now!

There will be lots of Cuban food at our Cuban meet-up on Jordan Lake (Apex) on July 20th. Please contact me for the details. About 150 people are expected.

We're in Durham and we wanted to meet other Cubans. People are coming from all over the state. We also have a meet up site for future get togethers. google meet up and cubans.
