I had a previous post about ideas for my daughter's Sweet Sixteen. Well, she has decided she wants to do dinner and a movie. Her friends are a mixed group and will probably be no more than 6 people.
Any suggestions on a good restaurant without breaking the bank? We have done Buca di Beppo in the past so we are hoping for something different.
If they want to do a movie and dinner all in one place, Ballantyne Village is fun for that. Or in uptown as others suggested. Or they can do that dine in theater as well there.
It's perfect for them to be dropped off and picked up later too.
Edited to add: I just remembered they changed that theater into a independent type movie theater. Not sure if she is into that. Stonecrest might be better with the restaurants there and they can walk over to the theater afterwards there too.

Since you live in Belmont I guess the most important question to ask you, besides what kind of food they want is whether the movie that they would like to see would be available locally or if you would need to go to Charlotte?

We usually have to go to either Charlotte or Gastonia to most things, so, we are open to that. As far as what type of food: american, italian, chinese, japanese. I'm open to all ideas.

I don't eat out much but everyone who I know who does, raves about Passion Grill which is in the same little shopping center as Hamricks in Gastonia.
Most of our shopping out here is in Gastonia. There's a mall & a multi-phase shopping center. We even have movie theaters.
That's what I thought. was just curious. I hardly travel on that side. Ask me about South and East!
Only time I went was when my kids had the All District audition in Belmont and it was a nice drive through there.
