A zoo, more museums, better use of historic sites and buildings instead of tearing them down for some generic midrise apartment. More infill and less sprawl, you know become a true urban city not a suburb with some big buildings in the middle, and finish 485 already they have been working on it forever.
Smaller retail throughout the city and not just center city. Were I stay I have a corner store that I can walk to. Bacially more mom and pop shops to give it a more urban environment. Also I hear everyone when they say rail but Charlotte has to to start somewere. All the great cities had to start and work there way up.so what makes Charlotte different? We have the blue line extension and the gold line going on with talks of expanding it more. Man give the city a break. Its getting there in terms of mass transit. Its a new slcity trying to build a new system.

The rail talk is mostly to the airport. Also I think a better center hub for transportation, like a central station that can handle the expansion of the bus network, light rail, street car, and possibly brt if we ever get it.

Gateway station is in the cards but the spur that trains would have to take to navigate to this station (where current Greyhound station stands) is owned by a private rail company who's main motivation is not passenger service. So they've been less than helpful getting this plan to fruition. Couple with it that this is also a project where the state is involved so that automatically makes for a longer timeline.

So I guess Raleigh like always get what they want like there union station but we can't get ours.
- In N Out Burger
- More walkable/urban style neighborhoods and less suburban/big box development
- Independence Blvd converted to full freeway (navigating East Charlotte is a pain)
- Expansion of light rail to Airport and to Concord
