Some of the stories they have had him read(he's in 4th grade),make it sounds as if illegal immigrants are entitled to everything a citizen is,etc..Some teachers are also trying to indoctrinate the kids that comitting a crime,such as coming to this country illegally is fine-the people are just trying to better their lives and shouldn't be held to the same rules/laws we are.They also just raised the taxes here a great deal.
The tax is being called the bs tax for Bruton Smith's drag strip.My property values went up almost 60,000.00.
The schools in Harrisburg are good and safe.They have to teach the same thing across the state.It depends on your views and values.The schools here are much better than Mecklenburg county,I went to Meck.county schools and I'm speaking from experience.
To give you an idea of how schools are in Mecklenburg county,next week or the week after, they are having a day of silence in schools to protest the bullying of gays.There is an anti bully policy for all students.

Taxes are about to reset everywhere in the area. Its that time. every 8 years or so. I'm 14 years removed from High school. Mecklenburg County and I am sure they have changed dramatically since I was there so I find it hard to compare from now and then.
Are you sure they are having a moment of silence to protest the bullying of gays? Where did you get this info from. We have not recieved anything from our kids schools about this and they are in the Meck system.

It's nice to see schools taking a stand against bullies. My stomach turns every time I see the video that's currently circulating on the news where 6 Florida girls beating up another student until she is unconscious. Schools should definitely enforce a no tolerance policy.
Hi, I am looking to move to NC by august, and I am considering Huntersville, Concorde, and Cornelius. Can you tell me a little bit more about those areas? I have a 7yr old, and a good elem. school is my highest priority. I will be a Registered Nurse by then also, I am sure there are some hospitals around to get a job .... thanks for the input, I really apreciate it.
Some of the stuff I am hearing sounds so silly. People got kids and their minds are as silly as young kids. Some of this stuff sounds like adults talking like 3rd graders. I am moving to this state and hope that the mentality of most people that live here are much more developed and mature than what I see here.
Can you tell me what you mean by liberal? My kids are coming from a NYC Catholic school. Should I worry about them adjusting? Thanks!
