Can anyonr tell me about Concorde, NC? I have to relocate there with my 8 year old son and am concerned about the safety of the neighborhood and schools, college, etc.

What do you want to know? I've lived in Concord for the last 5.5 years. I have two kids one is a rising K and the other is going to be in preK. I live right on the border of the Meck/Cabarrus line and our neighborhood and the surrounding ones are pretty safe with great schools.

Where are you looking in Concord?

I also lived in Cabarrus County - Concord, specifically. A lot of families that I knew lived off of Weddington, which is ideal because it offers access to the 85 area (malls, food, amenities) as well as the historic downtown area (theater, art galleries, small mom and pop stores) - there are a lot of very lovely housing communities off of Weddington that you should really consider looking into. The school district is really strong in Concord and the city has a borgeoning arts and cultural identity - plus easy access to all that CLT has to offer. I enjoyed my time in Concord and I'm happy to see other people had a similarly positive experience there.
