Ferris Wheel in uptown ? (Charlotte, Tryon: price, deal, cities)

Does anyone know what the deal is with the ferris wheel in uptown? I haven't seen it, but a friend of mine that works at the Omni saw it and asked me.

You’re comparing Charlotte to London?

I think it's the name. The London Eye is pretty famous. The Charlotte Eye on Tryon looks pretty dinky. If they dropped the "Eye" part and just named it something like Tryon Holiday Ferris Wheel that would be better.

There are other ferris wheels with the name "eye" in it, in multiple cities and countries. Nothing unique to London, and there's certainly no reason to criticize this one. Sheesh. Some people have to make everything a competition.
