Could anyone recommend a company in CLT that could do a new installation of heat and AC including duct work?
TIA

We had a great experience with Parks Heating/Cooling. Really nice owner who came out to the job to supervise.

I just used Andy Lewis Heating and Air. They did a good job -- no complaints, so far.

We use Air Comfort. They're Angie's list approved. Don is awesome! Gave us 4 seasonal maint. visits for $150. I think you'd be very happy.

I've just replaced my 18 yr old system and literally my new system is 48 hours old as I write!
I searched the archives here and came up with Jamie Dorton of Dorton's heating and air and I'm very happy.
I've actually had taste of service as well. As soon as the system was in it blew cold for awhile and then went warm, obviously a malfunction right off the bat .
I called Jamie in the morning and he was at my house that evening and diagnosed a bad/cracked coil from the Trane factory. He was back first thing the following morning with a new coil and had it installed in about 2 hours.
So overall top marks for response, install and very friendly service.

Athen's out of Mooresville. They have a Charlotte office as well. They installed my brand new A/C system in a rental condo we own last week and came in $900 less than anyone else for the same equipment/model numbers!

Default Trane sucks

Do not buy a Trane. All the ratings are bs. I am a landlord that has dealt with numerous products over the past 20 years. The Trane system I bought broke down (dumping water on electronic components) within 3 years. Go with Rheem or anybody else. I've bought virtual no name units that have lasted longer. They do not honor their manufacturers or extended warranty either. I had to pay for all new parts. They stated that the unit was not under normal use (bs) and that the specific parts were not covered by the warranty (bs). Useless.
