Would you argue that one person involved in a street fight should have their picture published or be identified, and the other, equally guilt person, does not? Prostitution is a crime under current laws and it's the women who suffer. They get arrested, not the men, they get their picture in the paper, not the men, they have to serve time or pay a fine, not the men. There wouldn't be a crime without the men participating, so all I was saying is that both parties to the crime should be identified and both should have criminal penalties.
Have you not witnessed cases of entrapment on the television? When a "John" is caught, he is punished and his involvement is made public. As a result he ends up with a broken marriage and children that are humiliated. You say that it is the ***** that suffers, wrong. She is photographed, charged a small fine and is back out on the streets again. Much less harm than what happens to the "John". And, it would not be a crime if the prostitute wasn't there preying on the weaknesses of volunerable men. It isn't a case of discrimination against women.
prostitution should be legal as should most drugs. prohibition has never worked and never will. the only way to controll something is to regulate it legaly. look at the difficulty in an underage person getting an alchoholic beverage and compare that to the ease of buying illicit drugs and you will begin to understand. in addition, legalized vices would provide for health checks and help prevent the spread of desease. its not only the prostitutes and drug users that get sick. wives and girlfriends are also at risk.finaly the some of the tax revenuue can fund rehab programs as happens with legal gambling.

Sign me up for being on your side. However, Amsterdam has revised its prostitution laws as it just wasn't working out after many years. Guess clients will have to get laid by their wives. We probably should look at home delivery sex instead of the open window selection thing.

That works very well in some places, but it depends on many factors. A prime example of it being pretty much a failure was when the Union army tried to control & license & require medical checks of prostitutes in certain parts of the Western Theater. If you devise a good system & the people running it are good, you're right. If not, what a disaster!

Surely you don't consider it difficult for an underage person to acquire alcohol?
poor clueless ppl.. think about the doctor that did your latest check up.. or the attorney that fought your case in court.. maybe the nice old man that works on your car.. or the man that cuts your lawn.. dont think that these men dont pay for "mouthwork" as i saw one person state... but dont think that is where it stops.
think about that nice lady you see playing with her kids when u return home from work each day.. or maybe one of your wife's best friends... SEX SELLS PEOPLE.. its 2012.. stop being so blind
