Business closed : Luigi's deli and bar on South Blvd is closed.
I noticed a few weeks ago that "Luigi's deli" was open again and saw they added the sweepstakes games that have been mentioned on this board.
I drove by again this week and I guess they were just slow in taking down the Luigi's sign because the sign now reads "The Corner"..."La esquina" Which means the corner in Spanish.

So my guess is that it is a Latin type place now.
Again, I am happy to see this rather then an empty space.

It's funny how no one misses you until you're gone. Sir Ed's has been hurting for some time. I'm actually friends with the owner, Toby, and he's been telling me for more than a year that business is down by so much that he doesn't know how much longer he can keep the doors open. So as soon as he shuts them, everyone comes out of the woodwork to say how bummed they are. That's not everyone's fault entirely. That's partly his. He was in a weird location and rested on his laurels. Never did any marketing. Good luck to him though. I know he'll end up on his feet.

I may have missed this earlier, but Tijuana Flats went out of business for a second time in Huntersville. Too bad because they were really, really good.

I agree that it's a bummer, but if you liked Tijuana Flats, You might want to try The Loco Lime. Their food is outstanding.
