I understand it is the same ownership.
That's a bummer... I loved their burgers. Yet ANOTHER sushi place? They've become like steakhouses around here.

That really stinks. Over Labor Day weekend I was searching for this place b/c of the comments on this forum. Could not find it listed online which made me question my memory of the thread :-). So I went to Big Daddy's Burger Bar instead. But I really wanted to try The Counter.

Not exactly out of business, but I noticed yesterday that M5 is now Zink by Southpark. Still a Harpers restaurant, but a change nonetheless.

I went to look up the menu for Ratcliffe On The Green, as they were still on my list of restaurants to try here in Charlotte. I see that they closed their doors several weeks ago.

I heard office max on South Blvd (by bed bath and beyond) is closing down in about a month or so. The rent was increasing by 5K and they refused it. They tried to get in where Circuit City was but I think Nordstrom Outlet beat them.

They did. The pace that they're redoing that old Circuit City store makes me think that they may be open before Christmas.

From Helen Schwab of the Observer:

"Maddis Southern Bistro Closing

Maddi's Southern Bistro will serve its last dinner Saturday -- the accompanying gallery at Birkdale will be moving its stock back to the original Dilworth location after a 40 percent off sale all week."
