Maybe I'm losing my mind but Office Max in Carolina Pavilion is gone. Although my wife told me it folded during the summer. Nordstrom's Rack has still not opened up in Carolina Pavilion either.
Something about the rent being too high I think (for Office Max). Not sure where they went. Bought my office chair there.
J&S Butcher Tega Cay Closed. I posted about them long ago when my neighbor told me to check em out. Since I posted about them, I am ashamed to say, never made it there. Spoke to that same neighbor recently and said they went out of business.

Nordstrom Rack is supposed to open in the Spring of 2011.
Wow...it seems like the economic tsunami is starting to hit hard. The bad thing is with all these closings, it will be difficult to find replacement tenants in this economic environment. Most of these places will probably sit vacant indefinitely.
The food wasn't that good and it was never busy so I'm not surprised they closed. However, it may be a while in this economy before another tenant takes their place.
With Sonny's, Texas Roadhouse, Rafferty's and Office Max all closed on that corner, it's a bit of a retail black hole there.
Interesting that the whole Carolina Pavilion area was nothing more than a bunch of bulldozers in 1995 and is now becoming a borderline viable area.
I wonder if the light rail had a negative impact on the two restaurants on that side of the street.
