Also, the FBI is going through a massive hiring spree right now with over 3000 jobs. It probably won't pay near what he was making before, but a job is a job... and a job with the government has some sweet perks...
yeah, thanks. I figure by Monday, he should be recovered enough to get started. figure one of the first places he should go to is UNCC and see if he can finish his degree and what programs they may have for the unemployed.
His brother is working on his resume now. This is mind-boggling. I have been worried about *my* job for so long, but, figured that he was relatively secure.
Nice suggestions - FBI is hiring - I had heard that, too. I also heard that CIA is hiring and they are looking for financial backgrounds (assuming forensic accounting, but perhaps they train for this speciality). Government retirement program is, indeed, very sweet. Have friends who are in a very secure retirement situation b/c they retired from gov't work.
I hope GMAC will arrive here . . . these businesses know we have the workforce. It would be a very wise move on their part it would seem.
I don't mean to change the subject but does anyone know if the meeting tonight at RiRa is still on. It appears as though a bunch of people backed out and I don't want to be the only one there.
I might pop in for a bit on my way home... if it's storming out then I might hang out until it passes... all depends on if I get out of the office at a reasonable time.

I had never heard it before either, but as we are NC natives I was not sure. Well needless to say the first thing they did this morning as ask to see if there was snow. The youngest looked under her pillow like maybe the tooth fairy was coming. Her spoon must have been hiding under the covers and she thought that someone took it.
No spoon rings and no injuries during the night...so we will see if they want to do this again tonight.

Hey gang, this is Anifani's son, and she wanted you guys to know she's at home in the dark and disconnected (totally disconnected from the world - her power is apparently out). Duke power is saying they'll get it back on tomorrow around lunch. She just told me she's having serious City Data withdrawals (lol!). She wants to know if anybody knows how widespread the power outage is?
