Thank you! It is really nice to get affirmations from others about my work! I always feel kinda shy about creative work - I always feel like there is so much talent out there . . . how could anything I do be that "special?" LOL!!!

I don't think you need any of us to tell you how good your shots are, from the looks of your bird one your shots most likely speak for themselves.
CHI and Brian . . . y'all really are good buds. I truly appreciate the validations. It isn't modesty . . . it is a real sense of feeling the world is a huge place (and full of talented people) and anything I do can't be that amazing in the big scheme of things. No one is more surprised than I am when I create something that seems "special," LOL!!!!
HA HA HA - the Charlotte forum takes over!!! Listen - there are some pros over there! And oh - the members from Alaska - Gosh - they have the most beautiful terrain to work with . . .

Of course it can. At that moment the world is being seen through your eyes, and every time you take a picture your unique perspective is being preserved for the rest of us to see. Some of us may try to go beyond the simple "point and click"...looking for the perfect angle, the perfect settings, the perfect lighting, but each shot is unique to that person, capturing an instant in time that will never happen again.
So on the contrary I would say you could do something very amazing alongside the grand scheme of things. Because it sure is a shame to have that one wonderful second in time where a bird flies, a skyline is lit in blue, a goal is scored or a sun rise lost forever.
I take photography way to flippin' seriously.
