ooooh I was gonna say that. When I move back to Charlotte I am eating there at least a couple of times a week. We just had breakfast there when we visited over the 4th of July.
Since we moved to Charlotte, DH and I have made several short trips to Blowing Rock & Boone NC for some hiking. We love it.
Grandfather Mountain offers great hiking and beautiful views.
We plan on checking out some of their outdoor outfitters next for a whitewater rafting trip.
If you are in the area, stop by The Woodlands BBQ in Blowing Rock. Good food and fun atmosphere.

Is it me, or does that pig on the website seem a bit obscene? LOL!!
Being right down the street from a college town, the obscene pig is probably a big drawing card. He's got that little Mountaineer hat and corncob pipe.

Hee Hee! Woodlands is one of my favorite spots. It's always crowded so be prepared. They do some of the finest BBQ in the region. Been going there for decades.
And the pig is CUTE! Or maybe I am just used to him . . .
Location: Some got six month some got one solid. But me and my buddies all got lifetime here
