You are on your own I am afraid. Everyone here has given you great pointers. $510 and $680 is too much? Unless you give us a price range, I don't know what else to tell you. I mean you are worth close to a million and you are that cheap to risk safety for money?

This is either the best troll thread in ages or something is really off with ya, baby.

Well anyone with decent life insurance is worth that. Just don't want to spend alot while my family is still back at my old home city in the house. I'd like to spend around $500 or so. I would prefer a studio since I will be there very little anyway (travel).

Have you ever considered getting a roommate? That's a good, fast way to cut down costs considering your family isn't going to move in with you to that apartment anyway. That way, you could probably spend only 400-500 per month and still be in an area where some transvestite serial killer won't rape you in the middle of the night.

I hear ya. I'd go with the Landings....$510 is pretty good, and it's a great area and nicer and newer than the alternative....

I'd go $600 if it had a garage. My car, while less flashy than my previous one, still draws a little attention.

I like kmway suggestion on the Landings at NorthCross in huntersville it only 20 to 30 minutes to uptown charlotte and airport and this city has a low crime rating.

The location of these apartments is very ideal it situated in between wetlands and office complex and wooded lots so it rather hidden from major road helping to reduce any possible rift raft drifting in. It also very close to the interstate and one of the popular shopping complex birkdale village actually in walking distance and several nice restauarnts.

I have been doing research for myself and here is some of what I've found. Personally, I am trying to be in the $600-650 range, since I am a young female who will be living by myself. But, here are the cheapest ones I found:
In Gastonia, you can get a studio for $470 at the Patriots, but then you have to commute a little bit (15 miles to airport).
Oak Park at Briarcreek in Charlotte has a studio for $399. Jamestowne Apartments (Charlotte) has 1 bedrooms for $439. Green Oaks Townhome Apartments, 1 bedroom for $440. Somerset Apartments, studio, $430. Hampton Commons has a studio for $300.

All of those are fantastic neighborhoods if your goal is to be whacked.

I'd have to say, if it sounds too good to be true it is.

They guy with the flashy car, you won't have to worry about it being there when you return from a business trip. Once your neighbors have stole it and stripped it down.

I'd advise of being more 'thrifty' in other areas rather then your personal safety. I'm sure everyone loves hearing gun shots at 3am outside their cheap apartments.

Why not looking into a long stay hotel. I know someone who did that while they were down on their luck.

Ok, whoever gave me negative points that this is a personal insult needs to PM me so I can show you what a personal insult really is.

Quit abusing the rep system, and read the TOS.

The last line was a joke to which the OP did not take offense to my knowledge as the conversation continued, sorry that you need smileys in order to differentiate. I have tried to help the OP this entire thread ok.
