Bob Johnson has a place in CLT but he lives in DC. IMO that's one of the main problems with the Bobcats.
Since so many people don't like him or the Bobcats, its probably a good thing. Do most owners of sports teams live in the areas? I know in the minors they do, not sure about the pros.

Most of the time, yes. I think that it helps for the owner to understand the community, local politics, etc.
The new Checkers owner is awesome. His name is Michael Kahn, and he owns a wine distribution business. He grew up in Atlanta and his parents died when he was young. He grew up watching the Flames play in Atlanta before they moved to Calgary and was also a Hurricanes season ticket holder. He is very much a fan of the game and is often with the guys in the locker room. He even promised to rent a charter plane for the players if they made the playoffs and they had to play Texas of Florida. Well, they ended up playing Fla dwon in the Everblades and he made good on his promise. Unfortunately Florida kicked their ***. He is also very involved with local charities.

Yeah, look at the pro team in the cities in Florida and places like Phoenix and LA. They may have second homes in New England or an apt in Manhattan but they have their primary residences in the communities in which they own the team(s).
I'm moving there ... famous in my own mind hehehehe
LOL, a legend in your own mind huh?? Thanks for the laugh
