Nothing at all, I suppose. But it's always nice to add a little historical perspective, right? There's a reason why the very word "segregation" might be a little unsettling to a black American (or even Southern white) in a way that it isn't to a white Midwesterner..

Did it ever occur to you that you have a whole city of women to choose from? And not just your neighborhood?

Yeah, I'm sure it has. This so-called argument is a cop out.

It is easier to meet women when you see them on a regular basis at places like the store and running errands. Also, it is much better when a woman lives in your neighborhood and you can easily get to her instead of traveling 15 miles. When you get older you will find this out just like everyone else does.

I hunt all over though.

If I only am attracted to latino women I sure would not live in Englewood.

Get it?

This sentiment reminds me of a discussion we've already had on Chicago City-Data. It was the thread about interracial dating. And someone accused Chicagoans of being clueless about the city outside of their little box. And unwilling to date outside that box.

I'm 24. If you are THAT much older than me, may I ask why you haven't settled down yet?

And didn't you brag about having dated a girl who was five years younger than me? Or am I getting you confused with another poster who was banned?

Ironically, a typical white white guy living in a neighborhood with similar racial demographics as Englewood is more likely to date a Latina than a black girl. I've seen it with my own two eyes.
