The Cardinals belong in St. Louis , and the Colts belong in Baltimore, and the Rams belong in LA..

Period.

Saying the phrase "St. Louis Rams" or the "Indianapolis Colts" is still very, very strange to me...

None are as strange as the Utah Jazz. If there's a less jazzy city in America, I can't think of it.

The L.A. Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies also fall into this category.

At least the LA Lakers has an interesting alliteration to it, and intimidating critters are a popular theme whether said animal is or was native to the team's general area. But to be sure, all 3 names made more sense in their previous locations.

FedEx offered to sponsor a name change to "Memphis Express" for the Grizzlies but the league wouldn't allow it.

I always thought the OKC Thunder should have kept the name Sonics and been sponsored by Sonic Drive-Ins, which is headquartered about 2 blocks from their arena. (Yes, I know this would **** off everyone in Seattle, but that would make it even funnier.)

The Indy ownership group should have chosen a new name for their team after relocation; perhaps the moniker "Racers" would have been more appropriate;

Even though he retired 40 years ago, ( and has since passed away), Johnny U remains the symbol of pro football in Baltimore ( hence the statue outside of the Ravens' stadium)...

The St. Louis Rams are just, symbolically, a very mixed-up football team, and almost irrelevant today, whereas in LA the Rams were a consistently solid football team for almost 20 years, going back to the Fearsome Foursome days of the late '60s...

I just don't see how Chicago's new AFC franchise can fail as long as we give it the right name:

Chicago Lincix

The logo, of course, is the profile of a Lynx with a fierce cat like growl (since it is all in the same town, we could borrow NU's cat logo) and a "C" that is not the shape of a football; terms of service would replace diagramed plays. penalties would not be issued, but infractions would be. no referees, but plenty of moderators.

and there would be no scores, but you can get reputation points. Players cannot be locked out of facilities in case of a strike, but a lock can be put on a closed sign on a thread that has been ended.

If Cleveland's Browns can be named after Paul Brown, Chicago's team can be named after Lincix.

I like that they kept their names from their old cities.
