You missed my point about the drug ban, it has not worked. The drugs free flow into the US. Ban guns, illegal weapons will flow into the US.

Banning guns will only reduce the guns from the population who complies with the ban. Even in the UK, there are people who do not comply with the ban and have illegal weapons.

There was also once a ban on alcohol, that did not work, the ban on drugs do not work, and a ban on firearms also will not work.

How did the ban work in Chicago? Not too great from what I hear.
It's a lot harder to walk inconspicuously into a public place with a rifle and knock off 20 rounds in less than a minute. It's a lot harder to perform mass killings with muzzle loaders. Though those should be banned too, handguns are an important and good start.

I understood your point, I just don't agree with it. As bad as the war on drugs is right now, legalising drugs would have astronomically worse consequences. It happened in history already. Look at where legalising guns have gotten us, 270 million guns. Some guns may get through the border, but it'll make life a lot hard for criminals to replenish their supply compared to the ease they have right now. Plus they won't have all the "legal" gun buyers selling them "legal" guns.

The gun crime stats in Britain speak for themselves. There maybe a few that have managed to get a hold of a gun, but there are many more criminals there who shouldn't have them that don't, and the innocent people there are better off for it.

Ok, so basically you're saying that its too difficult to ban things that are bad for society, so lets not? There are plenty of countries around the world that have successfully banned guns and society is safer for it. Are you saying that America is incapable of what other nations are?

As for Chicago, you are trying to make a correlation between the ban and violent crime, and that myth has been debunked time and time again. Chicago's problems are much more complex than your simplification... And have to do with poverty, too many guns, easy access to guns and a history of inequality.

How do you regulate:

When someone has a bad day and decide to use his Glock to take it out on the world?
When someone with no noticeable mental illness gets a gun and then develops a mental illness?
When someone intends to shoot who he thinks is a perp but gets the wrong guy?
When someone is shooting at a suspected perp and hits a kid behind him?
When someone has a few too many drinks, gets into an argument and uses his Smith &Wesson to settle it?
When someone's kid finds his moms or dads semi automatic and start playing around with it with his friends?
When someone's kids steals their parents guns and goes on a rampage in a school?
Etc, etc, etc...

Yeah change it cause the second amendment is useless lol. Then that creates a domino effect and other amendments will be changed too. Getting rid of all the guns won't do anything good and would have a massive backlash.

What says that person doesn't have a grenade, a bomb, or something else besides a gun?

Banning firearms is the only way we will reduce the number of guns and gun crime in the US. The UK banned handguns, and gun crime has been significantly reduced.

Handguns ARE banned in Britian, read my post again.
The more laws and legislation a society has, the more violent it will be.

We've certainly changed it for far worse reasons.

What about Mexico? Hand guns are illegal in Mexico (and all of Latin America), yet they still have horrible violence there. The "gun ban" there is not working AT ALL.

Again, its a culture problem that they have there (and we have here). Meanwhile, in Switzerland, EVERY household is required to have guns (including machine guns) because every male is required to be in the military there (sort of like a National Guard). EVERY household is a small military base.

Isreal is another example of where a lot of people are in the Militia, and they dont have the "mass shootings" problem. Hell, I have even seen photos of girls in bikins at the beach in Israel, with an uzi (or some other automatic rifle/machine gun) being carried on their back.

So this takes us back to culture...the liberal left will tell you though, that EVERY world culture is sacred and equal to one another, even the destructive ones (except the "redneck" rural american culture, they are considered by liberals to be dummies who need to be eliminated). So we are never allowed to criticize the destructive cultures; instead every one must give up their constitutional right to bear arms because liberals are worried about someone getting hurt.

And dont get me started on the fact that the Obama Administration was BUSTED, yes caught red handed, shipping guns INTO mexico so that people will shoot each other! Eric Holder shipped guns into Mexico and now a lot of people died. How can liberals be against guns, but then vote for a guy who shipped guns into mexico so that they will kill each other?

Right. That's why the Wild West was so peaceful and violence-free. Same with modern Somalia.
