I was thinking of making a thread like this one....

I actually have a lot of favorite buildings

Smrfit-Stone Building ( Diamond shaped)- to me this building always represented money and power. Although it isn't the tallest building in Chicago it's definintely one of the most beautiful.

311 s. Wacker ( White Castle)- I'm sure most people call this building the "White Castle Building" not knowing the name.

Two Prudential Plaza- Looks more like the Chrysler Building than the Empire State imo...

Others; Sears Tower, John Hancock, Aon Center, Marina CityTowers, and Lake Point Towers

I really like the way the Trump Tower/Chicago is taking shape, so I'll say Trump Chicago is my favorite building. It's a beautiful structure.

My favorites are Big John and the Marquette building at 140 S. Dearborn. I worked in both of them.

Since I used to work for SOM I should probably say the Hancock or Inland Steel Building (definitely my favorite modern towers)... But I've really liked the way the old Reliance Building (now Burnham Hotel) has been re-habbed and is now so transparent. Other favorites are the old Carson Pirie Scott building by Sullivan, the Auditorium Theater by Sullivan, and the Rookery Building by Burnham. These are all architectural treasures that are studied in Art History classes around the world.

Nice choices so far...I really dig BOT, Inland Steel, and Carbide/Carbon as well.

If I had to pick, i would probably go with Lake Point Tower

So sexy....

Also, looking at that picture of 1 Prudential, I almost wish they had left that neon red sign. It was kind up iconic (although I'm usually not a fan of corporate names/logos on buildings)
