Unless the free agency market is non-existant this offseason, and he allows some creative structuring of his contract to stay in Chicago, my guess is Havlat's as good as gone. The cap will likely be going down the next two years, and they've got a whole bunch of important contracts coming up for renewal in that timeframe.

It'd be nice if they could go into next year with the team in tact, absent only Khabby and Matt "I suck at hockey" Walker. However, I don't think that's going to happen.

THANK YOU PITTSBURGH PENGUINS!

All of the transplant goofs I have seen wearing their Red Wings jerseys the last month or so can go lick a horse's ass BTW.

Hope you liked all the rotten egg and insults. Don't worry there is more to come next year if you continue to act like tools.

Losers.

Next year instead of just bedding your girlfriend I will bed your girlfriend, mom, and sister.

Of the two stroke teams in this year's Finals, Im glad the Pens emergerd victorious. I despise the Pens, too, but Id rather them win than the Wangs.

I figured I would bump this thread up in anticipation of this years playoffs.

What do you guys think of the Blackhawk's chances at the cup this year?

LOL. I hated Hossa last year, but love him this year. On our team.
These guys improve all the time, they orchestrate great passing plays most every game. Huet used to fall all over the puck or venture too far away from the net, looks like he is taking steps to correct his style. Niemi is becoming more reliable. But for both, when they're off-they never recapture it.
Love how many games we came back to win in overtime.
They deserve to win the cup.

Guys, its January... we still have several months of the season left. Its far too early to tell if the Hawks will make the Playoffs or not. Sure their chances are good, but Detroit and Nashville are shaping up, especially the Preds.
