OK Toto.....someone who professes to be a "Christian" pastor should know better...and should not have to be told not to do these kinds of things.

You and he are perfect examples of the prevailing "Christian" attitude of only love those who believe like we do and condemn everyone else....and we'll just ignore that silly teaching of Christ when he taught that we should love our enemies...Moderator cut: inappropriate

As a non Christian - seeing this from the outside - I think it is a wonderful gesture. As a non Christian - it paints this particular Christian in a very positive light. I think many non Christians would agree with me. And isn't it beneficial for all Christians to be painted in a more positive light? Isn't the goal to get everyone to convert to Christianity? Well - do you think more people would convert to something that they viewed in a positive light or a negative light?

What do you all think? Is this the proper Christian response, or no?

Bud

I imagine that there is certainly dialogue between the communities regarding their various faiths. And I am confident that the example of the love of Christ was and is manifest by the deeds of the people of this particular Christian community.

Christ said to do unto others as we would have them do unto us. We are told to love our neighbors and even our enemies, and to do good unto all people.

Would we want to be persecuted for our faith in another country or in America? Would we want the religious leaders of other countries to make it hard for us to get bibles there? As Christians, how would we want the religious people of other cultures to respond to our presence?

I do not promote the idea of one world religion(other than the eventual universal celebration as Christ as lord and savior of course) ... But I do appreciate the idea of ecumenicalism among all cultures and creeds for the betterment of the world. I believe it is only by the power of the holy spirit that any person might be convicted of the truth of the gospel, and not by any clever device of religion or the traditions of men. Instead, by living in harmony with others despite our cultural and religious differences, and finding a place of compromise or common ground, such as the primacy of love and grace and all good virtue, we apply in our lives the precepts of the teachings of Christ and his apostles presently.

In the book of James we read that the only true religion is charity and temperance ... So then if there be one concession among all world religions, let it be universal charity, and may everyone concede its truth.

As Christians, we are better to lead by example of the love of Christ in our lives toward our fellows, and to allow the holy spirit to be concerned with conversion. If we are shining our light the world will see it, and it is in such a way that they become open to the drawing and quickening of the spirit to begin with.

Peace ...

Why does the fruit of Christ always have to come with a sales pitch? Love is a very powerfull message.

Because the "fruit" is not of Christ to begin with...but is rotten to the core.

And this is EXACTLY how it will be brought to light!! Is coming to light! A ONE WORLD RELIGION FOR THE NEW WORLD ORDER!! In plain view, right in your faces...and YOU, yes YOU, refusing to see it for what it IS!! A religion that encompasses all faith, all nationalities......has absolutely nothing to do with the fruit of the Spirit, don't twist God word's please, for if "they" really had the fruit of the Spirit, "they'll" KNOW...there's only ONE, yes ONE TRUTH, ONE WAY!! (And some KNOW, some will fight the good fight.....to the end, even if it means death, you understand?)

Do I dare remind you that God Himself destroyed the tower of Babel for a reason? And here are SOME, rebuilding it again! Do I dare remind you what Jesus HIMSELF said? "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".

Not through myself, yourselves, Islam, Buddah, Allah, Socialism, Communism, or any other kinds of isms.....through JESUS CHRIST and JESUS CHRIST ALONE!!

People, open your eyes, it's late, really late.

Sorry to tell you, but you NEED to know: Some of your "so-call man of God, your pastors, teachers, will lead you right into the hands of the NWO! Hand you right over like it's nothing! Sound harsh? But it's true!
