"I agree" and "No problem" ... I believe.

But I did always feel that romance and affectionate love is very beautiful and not necessarily always selfish if you take joy in the pleasure they experience from the love you give them. So why would this kind of love have to be done away with in Eternity?
I understand what you're saying NHUX5cwD -
There is great beauty in romance that is separate from sex. The book Song of Songs demonstrates such feelings.

The Bride Praises the Bridegroom

9 What is thy beloved more than another beloved,
O thou fairest among women?
What is thy beloved more than another beloved,
that thou dost so charge us?
10
My beloved is white and ruddy,
the chiefest among ten thousand.
11
His head is as the most fine gold;
his locks are bushy, and black as a raven:
12
his eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters,
washed with milk, and fitly set:
13
his cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers:
his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh:
14
his hands are as gold rings set with the beryl:
his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires:
15
his legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold:
his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars:
16
his mouth is most sweet:
yea, he is altogether lovely.
This is my beloved, and this is my friend,
O daughters of Jerusalem.

Who knew? I don't think those are remotely universal in use.

I'm just guessing actually, but it seems appropriate in the context of my remarks and the rest of SC122's replies.

I know Jesus said that we're going to be like the angels in Heaven at least regarding the fact that we won't be given in marriage. However, why would we need to eat there if we're going to be immortal without needing food to stay alive?

I wrote in the title that I'd like to think physical sex isn't there since it has perverted so much of society, but what's wrong with other romantic affection if you're in love with someone?

Thank-you.
Why would I want to be in heaven if there is no sex?? If I am married and we both end up in heaven, suddenly we can't have sex anymore?? No thanks...but then again I'm an atheist so I don't believe in heaven.

Oh, well I guess if I had tried hard enough maybe I could have figured that out but I really did try.....and no, I don't think they are universal in use, it's an SC122 thing.

Some like to be hot and bothered, others are frigid and cold.
Then, there are those who are only lukewarm.

Do you believe in earth?

The reason I ask is that after menopause and hardened arteries, you won't want to be here either, I guess!
