If a couple is Christian, and one spouse passes before the other, when the living spouse passes do they meet up in heaven? Are they still married?
Please give Bible verses/scriptures in your replies.
Thank you all in advance for your research and postings.
If you love the way that Jesus loved all of us, what does it matter if you are married or not to each other? Aren't we supposed to love all equally? We are all children of the one God and if we love in Divinity then there would be no purpose to marriage as we would love each other Divinely, the way that we were created to love.
I believe that we each have a soulmate, a part of us that is out there that completes us on God's terms. When those two souls meet and come together and reunite as one soul, then we are "married" to the other part of us that God created us to be. I also believe that no matter how much we love another or how many years we are married in this life, that in heaven we may or may not be that others soulmate and we will love those whom we spent our lives with as a brother or sister if they are not our soulmate.
It is interesting that Christ said that angels neither marry or are given in marriage yet we read in genesis that the angels chose women to marry ...
And boy did they pay for it, didn't they???
I imagine the fallen angels never heard the end of it when the daughters of men who they took for wives were screaming at them in the maternity ward, "I nearly split in two giving birth to this #$%& nephilim of yours!!!"

Yeah, but what does that really mean... in plain English. I mean it's clearly religious rhetoric, but I'm not sure what it actually tells us.
What it says comes from Ephesians where marriage is compared to the way Christ loves the church (the believers). We will all be caught up with Christ when He returns for His "Bride" (again, the believers). When the judgments on all souls are completed, there will be a heavenly celebration as the body of believers/church is joined to Christ for all eternity. Our devotion, adoration, love and praise will be directed toward God who gave us eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ. This in no ways means that we will not love those who are with us as we will love in a way never before imagined, but our main focus will be on God, serving Him, worshiping Him, loving Him, thanking Him for all eternity.
