I fully support equality. I think they should receive exactly the same rights as anyone else, nothing more, nothing less. You don't want anyone thinking you're a perverted, immoral freak? Don't go telling everyone you meet. Don't go wearing a feather boa and walking in a "PRIDE" parade.
Your vehemence on this issue is as interesting as it is ugly.
Do you have nightmares about gay men wearing boas?

Do you think gay men are "perverted, immoral freaks"?
I know a LOT of Catholics who support the LGBT community. Including nuns. It's fairly common in communities that have actually joined the 21st century.
I am a very devout Catholic who sticks by the views of the church but yet I understand why gays want to get married. When I was growing up I had neighbors who were a gay couple and couldn't be better. They weren't explicit in this, in fact I don't remember them ever kissing in public. When one died the other lost everything because they weren't married. The deceased partner's family got it all, though they had disowned him. The living partner lost his house and part of his income (they had a painting business). Because of this I just can understand why they would want marriage.
However, I do think if the church wants to forbid gay marriage it is their right. I don't understand why someone would want to marry someone of the same gender but I'm not gay so I wouldn't understand.

A yes or no, please.
I think a person that has sex with another person of the same gender is perverted and immoral, yes. Whether they're a freak or not is debatable--that's more of a case by case basis. But if you're wearing a feather boa in a PRIDE parade the chances are a little higher that you might be one.

Reason: Accidentally left out a key clause which is now bolded

And how does that very personal, private and loving action between two people effect you?
Your church?
Your civil rights?
Your own personal and private moments with your spouse?
The cost of tea in China?
The bible never changes. God said it was wrong. We need to have compassion for those who have same sex attractions but we can't support it. We can't support anyone who is sinning, like adulterers either.
