Personally, I believe the "pigs" theory is a lot of rubbish and is used by some men to excuse their bad behavior.

This was a rumor that got started in the town the church was located in to harm the church. It was a small but fast growing congregation and I suppose some were not happy with this. While the facts they spread were 100% true. They left one fact out.
