You’ve got an obsession with that milk thing, don’t you?...
I seem to have an obsession with getting you to tell the truth or demonstrating how you avoid it. I will keep at it.
Btw, MQ, this is directly involved with the difference between the spiritual and literal meanings which have been applied to "sabbath'" and how literal fails. Seems a long way around the bush but that's what dealing with Richard involves

Maybe any good reason hasten lost beyond recovery and is only being continued because of tradition or some foolish notion that God wants you to behave stupidly. This is what comes from putting the letter or the details over ANY principle that makes any kind of sense, and why the basis of the "New Covenant" instituted by Christ is a principle rather than any fallible law. Try to remember that this is the forum about Christianity.
If the Sabbath was just symbolic or Spiritual, what is the purpose of the Sunday going crowd going to church on Sunday and doing what the Saturday going crowd does.

The fact that many professing Christians don't know the nature of our Sabbath rest in Christ does nothing to change the fact of it. Like Jews, Christians are fallible. The Way is not.

The literal Sabbath keepings were for only one nation, the old nation of ancient Israel.
Jesus fulfilled the temporary Constitution of the Mosaic Law contract or covenant - Romans 10:4
So, since Pentecost Christians are Not under any Sabbath keeping.
Thus, any day can be selected and used to gather together in worship - Hebrews 10:24-26.

Also, a lot of people don't think about God having a rest day.
Not a literal day of the week, but since the time of Genesis according to Hebrews 4:3-11 God's rest day was still on going.

You can technically say all the 10 commandments were for Israel only too then, as he was giving these other commands to them also in Exodus 20.

Yes, absolutely. And, as has been said, the basis for the Covenant instituted by Christ is not Law, but a principle. Do not think that means we are free to do anything the Law prohibited, but that our reason for refraining has nothing to do with law. Think of the difference between lawless and unprincipled. Law does not cover attitude, just action, a failure Jeremiah noted.
