He, heh . . . I was going to point that out as counter-productive to gaining any credibility with fundies.

Homosexuality: What does YOUR Pastor say about it?
You can hear for yourself, actually. Here's his sermon about it.

OK, but that is not the God of the Bible.

It is a God many create to allow them to do and believe as they wish.

That is in the Congregation/Church as Aquila AND Priscilla taught Apollos.

Some use the word "Fundamentalist" to avoid the actual issue.

They are obsessed with "fundamentalism" at least according to their definition, which basically is anyone who believes in the Bible.

Wrong.

Many, probably most Christians, "believe" in the bible. But they are intelligent and educated enough to know which parts are allegorical and which parts no longer represent reality.

Fundamentalists cannot discern the difference.

So far the "intelligent and educated" come across as modern ignorant and uneducated individuals, who want what they want, not what is true.

I have never met anyone who does not recognize the Bible contains allegory, parables and similes, etc. The ignorant and uneducated are the ones from all history including today, who simply pick and chose and dismiss what they don't like.

Everyone does that, including you and other fundamentalists. The difference lies in which cherry-picked parts are declared true. And THAT depends on whether you're liberal or a fundie or something in-between.

I don't recall my pastor ever talking about it. I can't think of why we would need to have a lesson on it in church. God has nothing to do with it so why teach about it? Let's stay focused on the things of God.
