Give me the Bible verse that says cremation is not permitted. In fact, give me a Bible verse that says ANYTHING about how a body should be handled and disposed of. Beyond the Jewish requirements of the teachers of the Law, there isn't one in Biblical scripture. Burial, however, seems to have always been the norm as described throughout the Bible. Similarly, the fate of evil or corrupt men seems to have often been being left unburied for the wild animals and birds to eat, as is often described in the Bible. But, burial seems to be a custom in the Bible from the very beginning. A practice noted without any reference to its beginning or an edict from God.

The Scripture doesn't teach on cremation, either for or against. However, since we know that our bodies decompose and become part of the earth when buried, I can't see any reason why speeding up the process would matter. The Scriptures place extreme importance on the soul, and diminishes the importance of our frail, physcial bodies.

I plan to be cremated. If God wants my loved ones to give me an earth burial, he can magically send a $8,000 check and a card with directions to them. Knowing my wife, though, she'll have me cremated anyway and then go hit the casino with the other 7k.
I'm with you. I don't know of anything in the bible that says you can't be cremated. If it was up to me, I would leave instructions to be thrown into a dumpster in a hefty bag when I pass on.

When saved Christians passes on from this world , there gone and the earthly remains do not posses any Christian , so if you Cremate or bury or bury at sea Does not matter as the Christian is not there now , Jesus has Got them now

God created the human body out of the dust of the Earth. He can bring it all back together. It doesn't make a difference. Save your money and get cremated.

Why would you want to be treated like garbage in death? I do not understand why anyone would feel this way.

Because I won't be in my body anymore and (this is the most important point) why burden my family with paying thousands of dollars? Yes, I have life insurance, but the money can be spent on something wiser. I'm not saying everyone should do this, but that's how I feel for me.

Caskets are expensive. Depending on what you buy, upwards of $5,000. That's not counting the plot you have to buy.

By the way, did you know Costco sells caskets and urns, including pet urns?

Why do you post all your posts in blue.

The are hard to read on some screens, and frankly, annoying.

Please do all of us a favor and use the standard fonts and colors.

Thanks in advance.
