Just saying the difference may be more that the Calvary Chapel had a bigger bench of associate pastors than Mars Hill and that was determining factor

So why did you?

A bad pastor or even a bad church has nothing to do with God as such were foretold by God to exist.

I put that out there so the audience would know who was presenting the thread. The way I wrote it, I could be confused with a Christian and just wanted to save folks the trouble.

Now, that being said, my decision to become an atheist was STRICTLY intellectual and it occurred when I was having the best of times in a church I really enjoyed and listening to a pastor I really enjoyed listening to.

What I know about Driscoll is that he could be or was a prick. Coy was a cool dude, but maybe he also lived up to his surname. Who knows? Of course, as you know, these things are ultimately farcical, but it works for some folks.

Apparently, one left room for forgiveness, while the other was condemning?
However, it appears that both are somewhat self-serving?

I still don't quite get you. I did not play anything. I wish I did. I would have been further in life.
