No, the case is not closed simply because you refuse to believe what the Bible says about him. Satan is shown to be a real being who when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness took Jesus into the holy city and had Him stand on the pinnacle of the temple (Matthew 4:5). And no, that does not read as an allegory.
I think it is allegorical. Satan cannot compete with God.
Man cannot understand the secrets of God therefore he does not know who Satan actually is. To know the secrets of God is to serve Him and walk in His ways so as to see the kingdom of God and be born from above.
Only those who do the will of my heavenly Father shall see His face and glory.

Truly believing in that kind of thing is psychologically hazardous. Your religion is not helping you.
It doesn't make any sense. Your Lord and Savior abandoned you, preferring to live outside of the observable universe. Did he at least take Satan with him? Or did he leave Satan on earth to cause evil here?

Also, Satan has not been given the authority to 'force' anyone to do anything. His role is to provide alternative lies and deceit and to fill the 'truth void' that exists in those who reject God's truth. God, likewise, does not 'force' anyone to believe or accept His truth, but, instead allows people to choose for themselves.
Satan is man's enemy and a defeated enemy at that. He is a created being with no authority or power over God. One of Satan's most effective deceptions is to persuade those with a 'truth void' that Satan doesn't even exist. C.S. Lewis does an amazing job of describing how susceptible people are to Satan's lies in his book, 'The Screwtape Letters.'

Lol, just consider the source(s). The non-believers wouldn't know what to do with themselves if they weren't ALLOWED to wreak havoc on a "Christianity' thread. Ignore them.
According to the Bible, God has a far higher body-count than Satan does.
Gotta admit... that's a pretty good line.
However, one's spirit and soul is of more importance to God than our physical bodies which are destined to return to the ground (which has been cursed by Him). Our spirit and soul will still exist before God beyond life on earth.

I choose evidence over your unsubstantiated truth claims.

So he's a defeated enemy, but he can still deceive and persuade. Yeah, makes perfect sense. Apparently God didn't finish the job.
It seems when you go through the bible and just looking at all the bad and wicked things in life, people will say sin and Satan is the cause.
Why let something with this much evil influence roam the earth and cause havoc for 5-6000 yrs so far to be killed at the end of the tribulation when Satan could have just been wiped out when he was kicked out of heaven.
Some say that God pre-knows people and how they would behave. And based on this pre-knowledge, he chose some to salvation. But to be fair, he is showing the world how the non-elect are failing his tests. (To prove that he foreknew people correctly. ) And Satan is the tool to test people. And it says that the elect ones cannot be deceived by Satan in Matthew 24 I believe.
Personally, I think that it's the best version to explain the contradictory verses in the Bible about choosing salvation by choice and God appointing people to salvation himself. Unfortunately, most people are not aware of this good explanation, so theirs don't make much sense.
Satan will be caught by God, put into a dungeon/Abyss, and then released after 1000 years again to deceive the nations. It's in Revelation, closer to the end of the book.
