I was referring to Judas regretting what He had done.
And we see where that resulted - He (Christ) came that we might have life, and that more abundantly.
Regret is like touching our past, which is dead. We connect God's instructions to the OT priests to not touch anything dead, lest they be defiled - now we are NT priests not touching our past, lest we be defiled.
Believers do seem to have an awful lot of weight on their collective consciences I have noticed. If the number of high profile religious leaders (priests, preachers, etc.) which have become public examples of sexual and moral misconduct are any indication of the deep seated secret perversions that are going on in the lives of you believers then, well, you folks probably SHOULD be repenting, and heavily. But then you folks believe that you have an out, don't you! All you have to do is ask for forgiveness, and all the naughty harmful/hurtful stuff you have done will all be washed away. Over and over if necessary.
I am a non believer. Any shameful harmful/hurtful thing I do, I will have to live with for the rest of my life. Nothing is forgiven. With that very much in mind, I have managed to make it to age 66 with a clear conscience and no particular feeling of the need to repent over anything that I have done over the course of my life. I have no secret shames. I've even been married to the same woman for more than 40 years. All of this COULD be just a coincidence I suppose.
From God's perspective, yes the sin is washed away. However, it absolutely has consequences on earth that are tangible. AND... if you keep sowing the seeds of sin inside of you, it will be harder to break sinful habits.
God does not break His promises. If we are His by faith, and we have the Son in us - He promises to forgive us. In turn, we should change or repent towards God.
In repentance to Lord Jesus , as He promises to never remember the offense against , as it never happened , even at people judgment seat before Jesus after they pass on from this world , It never happened

Sin is a state of mind that embodies your very character itself. It is missing the mark of agape love and must be removed from your state of mind by changing your state of mind. That is what repentance IS. If you do not change your mind and attitude toward it . . . you remain trapped and it becomes more and more who you are. That is the danger. All that is not agape loving must be refined out as dross . . . either by repentance in this life (changing your state of mind) or by the consuming fire of God's love in the next. Either way, it must be removed.

no .. it's not a coincidence. It's a blessing from God whether you admit to it or not.
God's blessings is like the rain ... it falls on the hardened concrete and as well as the soil (unrighteous as well as on the righteous).
So despite the misconduct of high profile religious leaders, it's not an excuse for your announced hardened unbelief. You've been blessed by God who seeks a personal relationship with you.

Of course it's not a coincidence. You have compelling evidence to show us that it's the action of your god, right?

Yeah...the Christian God seeks a personal relationship with you...OR ELSE!! I'm not sure I'd want to be in an abusive relationship like that. But if it works for you, great.
Repent means that you turn away from evil and instead seek to do good. It means you treat your neighbor with love and not hate, as defined by God's commandments. And most importantly, it means you turn away from idolatry and rejection of God to faith love and trust in God above all things.
