How many people come into your church teaching evolution? How many people who volunteer to assist these youths teach evolution to those who have been home schooled without evolution. It is not a matter of what can or cannot be taught, it is a matter of freeing those held within the institution from a person entering the place with the purpose of councilling and assisting and instead preaching to them.

Evolution is both a fact and a theory, and has nothing to do with relgion. The Catholic Church accepts evolution and even teaches it themselves in religious schools.

Looks like Finn missed this. Repeated in case it was an inadvertent mistake on his part.

Various reasons.

Seriously?

Yes, people ask questions for various reasons, seriously.

So, what is the reason that you think people need to ask you or anyone else what the bible says when they can read it for themselves?

I just told you. Various reasons.

I said 'seriously' because you asked a question you just answered yourself.

Finn,

I think Muslims should be able to teach public school children that Jesus was only a prophet. What do you think?

If the majority of the people in the local school district want that, why not? The Founding Father's actually envisioned the local government to have much more power than the feds. 9 of 13 states had official religions.

Ooohhhh.... Viz's usual "gotcha!" He wants the MAJORITY to decide. Never mind the Constitution.... Viz thinks the majority of people should decide things.

Fortunately for us, the founding fathers disagreed and wrote a document that gives equal rights to people who are in the minority. Gays...... Jews.... blacks.... women...

One can only imagine what a town where the racist bigots who were in the majority would do. Wait... we already know! They'd tell the blacks to sit in the back of the bus and be out of town by sundown. Guess what said they couldn't? The Constitution!! Yay!!

Thanks for sharing. Put it up for vote. Do you think is would be illegal for them to speak about what their religion teaches, or is it only illegal only for Christians?

Because it violates the establishment clause, that's why. The majority cannot violate the constitution. 51% of the population is not allowed to vote to enslave the remaining 49%. Or 60% to enslave the 40%. Etc.
