Wow, it's pretty clear who is flinging the most mud on here. For the record, WARDENDRESDEN was so toxic in in my interactions with him that he remains on my block list. I will never speak to him again unless he offers a public apology for telling me to go burn in hell. It's not about if I am personally offended or not. It's about being an example of a Christ follower.
Jeff, do you believe that homosexuals are an abomination?

Maybe it has something to do with hatful bigoted fundamentalist who could kill gay people knowing they will get a free pass into heaven for killing their god’s abominations?
You’re a once saved always save fundie aren’t you jeffbase?

The thing IS, Jeff, that God's directive to love one's neighbor as one's self (Leviticus 19:17) seems to fly in the face of God's other directives that call for the killing of one's neighbor. And, it's THIS that, not unnaturally, is a cause for confusion among some Bible readers. For those that believe Leviticus 20:13 refers to homosexuality (I don't), then it clearly calls for their death, does it not? Aren't these 'men lying with men' not also your neighbors? So, this leaves us in a quandary. Which neighbors are we to love and which neighbors are we to kill and who determines who is to live and who is to die?
Looking to the Bible for answers to all questions can be very tricky for the Christian 'fundies' who attempt to use it for such purposes.

So is capital punishment ever justified? Ever? Is God EVER right to command the government to put a person to death?
If Jeff's past responses are any indication to go by he will see that question as 'irrelevant' and 'stupid'.

Yes, but getting an easily answered response to an awkward question is, as we have plainly seen elsewhere on this thread, not as forthcoming as one might expect. If I might answer for Jeff, however, based on his claimed belief that everything in print in the Bible is a directive of God ...yes, he does believe that homosexuality is an abomination.
The bolded ^^^ just might get a more apt response from Jeff (and BaptistFundie) since direct questions seem to be problematic for them to answer. Rather, answer for them and await a yay or a nay.
Only some? See this is why we post. Someone has to throw off the facade of this fiction world you pretend really exists here. Like claiming most Christians are perfectly fine with homosexuality. The vast majority of Christian denominations including Catholics do not support homosexuality.
Also, if most people have progressed and are perfectly fine with same sex relationships then why are the hate crimes against gay people on the rise?
Hate crimes are increasing against gays, blacks, and other minorities following the election of your POTUS. His rhetoric fuels hate. He supports (by not calling them out) far, far right fundamentalists like the KKK. And the facts show it isn't "christians" of your ilk being attacked, it's Jews and Muslims---and gays.

Religious hate crimes jumped 21 percent statewide and crimes against individuals based on sexual orientation rose 19 percent, according to the data released by the FBI .
But since you aren't a Jesus follower, you like the needle in their arms. May God grant you the kind of grace and mercy you wish on others.
