I once worked with a Ukrainian man who fled the USSR with his parents when he was a child. He was a religious man, a part of the Eastern Rite Catholic Church, and he used to say, "People don't like to hear this, but Jesus was the first communist because he advocated for his followers to share what they have among one another."
Communism cannot exist in its pure form because it will be corrupted by human error, just like religion. They both become just another form of power and control.
