Agape love (except for "fundies")? (doctrine, God, Christians)

It's not a problem for me that fundies are miserable. They simply are. It's quite obvious from your, jeffy's and bryan et al's posts. You think poorly of yourselves and even more poorly about others.
It's the result of worm theology, which is taught heavily in fundamentalist churches. It completely ruined my own self esteem, which has not recovered to this day.
If what you say is being attempted is true, then concept of liberalism is indeed a religion.
It has many of these characteristics
It's god is thine self.
It's alter is abortion
It's minister are the activists
It's sermon is humanism, socialism, communism, atheism
It's law is the mockery of the Bible, moral absolutes, Judaeo\Christian values
It's gospel is don't judge us but expect to be judged by us
It's heaven is nothing at all or ya'll get there no matter what previously held as true

unfortunately, liberals are far more dangerous than any religion. We can just check the numbers on what they have done in the last 30 years. Number of repeat sex offenders, USA standings in secondary schools, and the debt. Now we have them allowing boys into the girls rooms. wow. I mean they have great idea's, but there aint no heaven.
But hey, this is the religion section so we get to make up any crap we want. Dern all those religous folk to all heck-condems hell. its their fault that boys get into girls rooms and their fault our schools suck and going out at night is unsafe for girls and children.

The uses of "born" in the Bible use the word "gennaō " which means begotten or CONCEIVED (as in sperm meeting egg) NOT BIRTH.
gennaō ek theos " begotten of God" gennaō anōthen (begotten from above, from a higher place, of things which come from heaven or God) anagennaō "born again" gennaō ek pneuma "born of Spirit"
Why you continue to think it means a birth while you are still in your physical body eludes me. You are NOT "like the wind" while in a physical body, but all who are born again as Spirit ARE.

You can continue is your magical thinking and mumbo jumbo, but our role is clear. We are to mature our embryo Spirit sufficiently to be born as Spirit upon our physical death. We do this through agape love of God and each other every day and by repenting when we don't. Everything else is human vanity and hubris writ large. All concern about being saved is misplaced because Jesus took care of that for us. It is finished. If we guide our lives by agape love, we can NOT sin. But if we do, we know we are forgiven if we repent because of Jesus. That is the Good News. There is no wrathful God out there who EVER needed to be appeased by barbaric blood sacrifices of innocent lives. How can any 21st-century mind believe such barbarity????

Sons were embryos before their birth, so are our Spirits. Born from above means begotten/ conceived from above (God), just as you were conceived by your parents. You were NOT born at your conception. Christ abides with our Spirit as the Comforter to help us grow and mature enough to be born as Spirit upon our physical death.
I have yet to meet a fundy with a pleasant, optimistic demeanour. They always look - and post - like their last meal was a lemon washed down with vinegar.

The focus for all of you is on what's dark and awful and sinful in this world, never on what's beautiful or light or positive. It's extremely apparent to the rest of us.
This is not meant as an insult. It is an observation. Think about it, how you look and sound to others, not just here, but maybe in real life, too. Nobody's going to see Christ in a dark cloud.

The other angle is the we do not control the brush others use to paint perspectives of what they see.
You said - "Nobody's going to see Christ in a dark cloud"... we also can't control what people look at. Christ is presented during these discussions. People choose darkness. Sin is darkness.
