I don't believe that protesting gay marriage does advance the gospel. What do you think?

Sharing the gospel advances the gospel.

Protesting gay marriage is some people who understand God's take on marriage voicing their opinion.

This poll makes no sense - other than attempting to squelch viewpoints some don't want to hear.

I will say this ... I don't know what's worse - gay marriage, or the fact that judges overturn people's elected representatives in making up legal excuses to overturn state bans. The more I think about it, I think the judges actions are worse. It's one thing if the people want this - but they don't, if you go by elected representatives and how they voted on the issue. Gay marriage was banned in California... California... and that was voted on by the people. Then the judge overturned it. That alone should tell us that people are not crazy about this.

At the end of the day - people want to cheat to get pet legislation passed - fine. God watches all. He will deal with it as He sees fit.

Actually, I had to put "other" because it is not just a matter of "not advancing" the gospel, but of actively countering that gospel.

Fortunately, DR, we are not a democracy and people who are able to distinguish civilized (constitutional) principles may often countermand mob rule and, hopefully, lead the mob out of their ignorance and prejudice.

Why vote, when the judges will accept only one outcome?

Hey, let's vote on this. If we win, then we'll say the people wanted it, and if we lose, the judges will void the vote.

Does that make sense to you?

What does NOT make sense to me, Finn, is formulating legislation that clearly violates constitutional principles. The only possible reason is to pander to ignorance in a procedure that is expected to maintain office at the public trough.

That is pro-gay opinion, but it does not make is fact. You did not answer my question. What is the point of arranging a vote where only one outcome is accepted? It sure seems like it is done purely for the show.

I think that's what I said...you seem not to be aware of who the producers are.
